20 Front Street this Thursday
As many already know, I’ve been teaching for two years during a stressful time at FPS: In June, Harrison High School will close, and my district will shift from three high schools to two. I’ll find out my future in the district by Wednesday this week.
When I booked this gig at 20 Front Street back in January, I knew these circumstances. I figured I might need an emotional pick me up, and why not play the best listening room north of Detroit?
Whatever happens this week, I’m happy about the balance I’ve achieved these two years–family, music, and teaching. This is my 10th year working in public schools; I’ll be celebrating that milestone under a gorgeous chandelier above that Lake Orion stage.
I hope you Oakland county friends can join us May 16. Tickets are $10.
